The triple point of water?

The triple point of water is 273.16 Kelvin and 0.6117 kilopascals. Imagine we could place an ice cube and some liquid water, both at exactly 273.16K, into a sealed vessel containing just 0.6117 kPa of water vapor and we could maintain those conditions for a period of time. Describe what would be happening at the particle level and how that would explain what we could see happening in the vessel.
