I am unable to burn music using itunes!?

It says 'checking media' but it does nothing after that.Using cd-r disc n AOpen CD-RW CRW 5232 ( have also tried to update driver...).Was able to do this a few months ago but not now. Also tried to download earlier version of itunes but still unable to find..
