How to break 5 min in the mile?
i am a freshman boy and this saturday i ran a 5:27 mile on a 300m indoor track with my xc spikes. my previous best was 5:45 in 8th grade without spikes on the outdoor track. i ran the 5:27 with about 2 months or just running and almost no speed work at all. how can i break 5 min by the end of my freshman track season? when i was running the mile, during the race it felt like crap, but like after the race i felt fine. my 800m time was 2:22 from 8th grade without spikes too, but it was a relay split so idk if it is accurate and my 400m time is 1 min from 8th grade without spikes but it was also a relay split. can i break 5 this year? could i break 2:10 in the 800m because that is another goal of mine?? sorry for all the q's
